May your heart be filled with courage enough to sit in the company of yourself and God,
And listen to the truest story of your life.
May you experience being held in faithful hands as your wounds are re-opened for full and final healing,
And may you be faithful to stay with the pain until the work is finished.
May you emerge from this season with a heart full of newness,
Such as renewed wonder, fresh atunement to beauty, integrity of self, and delight in God’s shocking grace.
Inhale the divine love from which you can never be separated,
Exhale into the adventure that promised new mercies bring every day.
Amen
I leave you with these wise words from the poet, Mary Oliver. Happy Thanksgiving, Beloved of God!
“Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.”
— Mary Oliver
Although I don't fall into the being too raw for gratitude space this season, your blessing speaks to me! And I love how Mary Oliver sums it up so well for you. That said, this week I've been grieving the people of Thanksgivings past that are no longer in my life, plus the distance from those in our life now that will come with our impending move across the world, so there is some rawness about me for sure. Thank you! Blessings and abundance to you and yours. 🫶🏽🙏🏽
