Wow! There is so much beauty, truth-telling, and goodness to "chew" on in what you share, Amber! 🫶🏽 What really speaks to me, and meshes with your title/theme of growing our hearts is the importance of taking action. It's one thing to say you care, or to even feel the warmth and ache of caring on the inside. It's another to do something about it. It seems to me it's the action (which could be as simple as leaving a comment, or as profound as finding or adopting a child), that expands our hearts. One could say Empathy + Action = Love.

"....and the love of many will grow cold ...." Matthew 24:12????

Over 30+% of us have been delivered by C-section since the 1970s? Bypassing a jumpstart on colonizing our neonatal guts with mom's good bacteria from the birth canal? And only bottle fed, also decreasing our chances for our little serotonin producing gut cells to be further colonized with mom's life-saving bacteria.

Add widespread antibiotic use, etc. And if you've had an appendectomy, you will need to replace the good bacteria in your system.

Dr. William Davis in Super Gut thinks we can improve our empathy status by reincorporating L-Reuteri and other cultured dairy products into our gut biome.

"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

I did not realize that this was Elon Musk's philosophy.....Lord come quickly!

So glad your precious niece is now safe.....too much on her 13-year-old plate to deal with.....she was absolutely overwhelmed.
